Still in the Game
Former WKYC (Cleveland) Political Reporter Tom Beres might be retired from TV news, but he hasn't yet given up on Journalism.
Beres says that he plans to live-stream hourlong interviews with the six leading candidates vying to become Ohio’s next governor.
Beres will conduct interviews with every Republican running for governor and most of the Democrats. He promises to get beyond the snide attacks circulating 24/7 news coverage of the contested race.
“I want in-depth discussions that will allow for more than 10-second sound bites or the food fight of a debate,” Beres said in a statement announcing the series of “extended one-on-one” interviews conducted remotely from the University of Akron and livestreamed on UA’s YouTube channel and the WKYC Channel 3 website.
Beres’ says his line of questioning will focus on health, education and the economy, among other issues.
