Reporter Charged with Trespassing

The Searcy School District in Little Rock says that they were contacted by a Reporter that wanted to "test" school security.

On their district's website, they say that they were contacted this week by a reporter from a local media outlet (The Daily Citizen newspaper). In an email, the reporter asked district officials to agree to allow her and/or other reporters to enter campus buildings without following visitor protocol in an effort to deceive district employees and find out how staff members would handle an intruder. The district responded that we would not grant that access.  Searcy School District is not interested in an undercover operation for the benefit of a news story as the safety and education of our students and employees are our only concerns.

Nonetheless, the same reporter entered Searcy High School today without checking in at the campus office. She entered the main building during instruction time when all classroom doors were locked and safely secured, and she was stopped in the hallway by a teacher approximately two minutes after entering the building. The district placed a criminal trespass on said reporter. We will do the same for anyone who chooses to enter our campuses without following proper procedure.

KARK covered the story and posted on their website, but then the station deleted the story . They then did a different story which is still posted.

Here is the copy of the story they deleted:
