2018 is not going to go down as a good year for CNN.

It was a year that they totally threw in the towel on Journalism and became the 24 hour Trump Bashing Network. They finished in last place in the ratings and had a number of embarrassing moments.

But none more embarrassing than the fact that a person that they picked as “Journalist of the Year” admitted to making up stories.

Claas Relotius, a Reporter and Editor at Der Spiegel, a German publication was named CNN’s Journalist of the Year in 2014.

He has admitted to making up stories, people and quotes. "Claas Relotius committed his deception intentionally, methodically and with criminal intent," Der Spiegel said.

As for CNN, they have no comment.
