Sound the Bell, She's Back!
Former Pittsburgh Anchor Wendy Bell is making a return to the air.
As you may remember, Bell was bounced by Hearst owned WTAE after posting a insensitive rant on Facebook.
She sued the station and the two sides settled before it ever made it to court.
Now Bell is back on the air, but don’t look for her on TV.
Bell has landed the afternoon drive slot at Pittsburgh’s KDKA Radio. Bell will co-host the afternoon drive with station veteran Marty Griffin (also a former TV guy) weekdays 2-6 p.m.
“KDKA is a powerhouse radio station and Marty Griffin is a trusted friend who, like me, loves helping people,” Ms. Bell said in a statement. “Spending four hours a day with a team that truly cares about this city is a tremendous honor and I look forward to the opportunity to serve our listeners.”
Proof that no matter what you do in this business, there is always another job in the media waiting for you.
