FTVLive Just Moved to a New Tax Bracket
Back in November, FTVLive told you that Quincy Media’s WKOW in Madison was running a contest to get a Christmas card from the station’s Anchors.
You had to be one of the first 1000 people to sign up at the station’s website for you chance to get a card from the station’s Anchors.
We signed up in November and look what came in our mail yesterday!
Yep! We won and the card is proudly displayed i̶n̶ ̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶g̶a̶r̶b̶a̶g̶e̶ on our refrigerator for all to see.
It appears that the signatures are just a copy and we have to admit, that bums us out a bit.
Also, when you entered the contest on the station’s website, it said, “A WKOW Holiday card. Prize value is $1. Taxes are the responsibility of the winner. No cash substitutions permitted. Prize is non-transferable.”
With that $1 value, it has thrown FTVLive in a whole new tax bracket. We always wanted to know what it felt like to win the lottery? Now we know and will be contacting our accountant later today for advice.
I know WKOW says that this card is worth a buck, but if you ask us, it’s priceless and a gift we will cherish forever.
Or at least till December 26th, when we toss all of our Christmas cards.
