Back in 2008, FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that Kathie Lee Gifford was joining NBC and the Today Show.

Yes folks, even a decade ago we were kicking ass.

After 10 years on Today and a great run, Gifford is ready to call it quits in April of next year.

Although the Today Show has gone through a lot of changes in the past year or so, this choice is 100% Giffords.

In the last year, NBC's morning show has made quite a few personnel changes, from Matt Lauer's firing over inappropriate conduct, and Kotb joining Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker on 7-9AM broadcast, to Peter Alexander (FIRST reported by FTVLive again) being added to the Saturday Today broadcast, Megyn Kelly's departure back in October, and Today using studios 1A and 6A.

No word yet on who will replace Gifford and word is that NBC is planning a big sign off for her as she leaves.
