KTVX Anchor Kim Fisher has left the station and the TV business altogether.

Fisher signed off from the station after seven years, the last 5 side by side with her co-anchor Don Hudson.

"I just want to say thank you, thank you for allowing me into your homes every night, for trusting me enough to share your personal stories with me, your successes, your tragedies, your experiences, they have all made me a better person," said Fisher said.

"You have helped me understand life outside of my own little bubble, you have created a level of empathy in me that very few humans will ever get the opportunity to experience. For that I will be forever grateful."

Fisher will be now working with the Waterford Institute and their upstart program that helps 4-5 year olds prepare for kindergarten.

After working in a TV newsroom for years, she should be well prepared to work with 4 and 5 year olds.
