While TV news is losing viewers, it is not a dying industry like newspapers.

So, it appears that Columbus (GA) Ledger-Enquirer newspaper Reporter Chuck Williams is making the jump from newspaper to TV.

For many years, the newspaper people looked down their noses at the people in TV, but now they are looking at TV as a way to save their career.

Nexstar owned WRBL in Columbus (GA) announced that they have hired Williams as a Digital Content Producer.

“Chuck is a game-changer for News 3,” said WRBL Vice-President and General Manager David Hart. “He brings unparalleled experience as a reporter, editor and digital content developer with a keen understanding of the Columbus community, its history and culture. Chuck has important, high-level sources in our area and his hard work and professionalism will greatly enhance both the quantity and quality of the local content we produce on our broadcast, digital and social media platforms.”
