WBND in South Bend was reporting on a missing woman that police were trying to find.

55 year old Dawn Marie Smith went missing and the station reported the news on air and online as the search for her was ongoing.

Then WBND reported the happy news on their Facebook page:

Yep, it seemed like a happy story that Dawn Marie Smith was found and the station thanked it’s viewers for getting the word out.

But then this story was posted on their website and reported on air. It seems that yes, Dawn Marie Smith was found, but it was not exactly a happy ending.

Might be a good time to pull down that other Facebook post.
