CNN Continues to Shed Viewers
The 3rd quarter has come to an end and Fox News won the ratings for the 67th consecutive quarter in a row.
Fox News Channel which will celebrate its 22nd anniversary this weekend, marked 67 consecutive quarters as the most-watched cable news network in total viewers across total day and primetime, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Continuing to dominate across the board, FNC was also the top rated network in the 25-54 demo, marking 67 consecutive quarters leading cable news in total day in the category, and 42 consecutive quarters dominating primetime.
Hannity was also the number one program in both total viewers and demo for the quarter, also marking his second highest-rated quarter in total viewers since returning to the 9PM timeslot.
As for CNN? They once again lost viewers in both total day and in primetime.
CNN finished last in the cable news race…again.
MSNBC pulled even further away from CNN and closes in on Fox when it comes to total day.
None of the networks did well in the demos. Here’s a look at the ratings:

FNC: 1,401,000 total viewers - up 3% (270,000 in 25-54 - down 9%)
MSNBC: 1,042,000 total viewers - up 10% (195,000 in 25-54 - down 9%)
CNN: 722,000 total viewers - down 9% (213,000 in 25-54 - down 19%)
PRIMETIME: 8-11PM/ET
FNC: 2,457,000 total viewers - up 14% (450,000 in 25-54 - up 3%)
MSNBC: 1,859,000 total viewers - up 6% (346,000 in 25-54 - down 10%)
CNN: 1,028,000 total viewers - down 5% (334,000 in 25-54 - down 12%)
