CNN’s Jim Acosta is catching some flack, after telling a Twitter troll to “Fuck Off” in a DM.

A former Trump Trump campaign official named Justin Caporale mocked one of Jim Acosta’s tweets by responding with “Dear diary….”

Acosta DM’d Caporale with a short and sweet reply:

Acosta then tried to cover his tracks after Caporale posted a screenshot of the DM:

We’re not buying the fact that Acosta thought this was an “old friend” but we also don’t think that he should have to issue and apology to the troll either.

He dropped the F-bomb in a DM to a guy that was being a dick. We say good for him and don’t say you’re sorry.

As for the “old friend” tweet?

Maybe Acosta is spending too much time at the Trump White House and is starting to tell lies like the President.
