President Rude
If you watch Donald Trump talk to the press, which does not happen often, you may notice that he treats female Reporters differently.
Sometimes he talks about their looks and other times he talks down to them.
Yesterday at a Rose Garden press event, Trump showed a prime example of that will preparing to take a question from ABC News Reporter Cecilia Vega.
As he called on Vega, Trump said, “She’s shocked that I picked her. Like in a state of shock.”
Vega responded, “I’m not, thank you, Mr. President.”
"That’s OK. I know you’re not thinking, you never do," Trump replied.
“I’m sorry?” Vega asked. When she then tried to ask a question about Kavanaugh, Trump cut her off, asking instead for a question on trade. She eventually complied with a trade query, and Trump returned to her later in the news conference to let her ask her Kavanaugh question.
So, the President of the United States says to a female Reporter, "That’s OK. I know you’re not thinking, you never do." What the hell?
It didn’t stop there, when CNN’s Kaitlan Collins asked a question about Kavanaugh early in the press conference, Trump refused to answer. “Don’t do that,” he said. “Do you have a question on trade?”
When Collins protested, Trump wagged a finger and said, “Don’t do that.”
Now, Trump attacks the media all the time and refers to the media as the “enemy of the people” but he seems to talk even more down to female Reporters.
