Yesterday, FTVLive showed you an onscreen poll that Tegna’s KHOU in Houston posted about parents giving their kids alcohol.

We said, “Besides being a very stupid poll that is basically asking if parents break the law…”

KHOU Anchor Russ Lewis emailed to say that in Texas, the law allows parents to provide alcohol to their minor children, as long as the parent is present when the alcohol is consumed.

Lewis said that, “Since I’m the one in the picture you used in the post, I felt compelled to point-out the error.”

We stand corrected.

BTW - The picture we used showed an Anchor from the chest down, but if Lewis says it’s him….OK.

We still think the poll was stupid as are most on screen polls during a newscast.

Also, what the fuck Texas?
