Is the Ad Money that Important?
I know that TV stations are more about making money than informing the public these days, but can’t you guys make a few exceptions?
For many in the path of Hurricane Michael, information is second on the list to only finding a safe shelter.
Many people tune into local TV stations for life saving information about what is happening. Often times, after losing power, people will turn to their phones and stream local stations.
Yesterday, while streaming Sinclair’s WEAR (Pensacola), viewers had to sit through a preroll ad before the live stream started.
Really?
Can’t you drop the ads while a major hurricane is making landfall?
Just this one time, maybe put people’s lives in front of the $ sign.
