The Case of the Missing Reporter
It is likely we will never found out the real story as to why a Houston area Reporter went missing.
Yesterday, a number of people tipped off FTVLive saying that a Houston Reporter was missing after texting her friend that she was being followed by a suspicious man.
The story just did not seem to pass the smell test to us.
In the end, Courtney Roland was found unharmed and was "confused."
"We believe she was confused because of a reaction to medications that she had been taking," Houston Police Capt. Mark Lentini said during a news conference Monday afternoon.
"She doesn't remember everything," he said. "I think in her state of confusion she kind of lost track of time," he said, adding, "I don’t think she was aware that she was being looked at as a missing person."
What were the medications? They didn't say. How do they cause you to text your friend that you're being followed? They did answer that.
If you are being followed, why text a friend instead of calling the police? Don't know. Was there really anyone following her? Who knows?
There are a lot of unanswered questions about this story and sadly most of those questions will likely stay that way.
As for women working in TV. You know there are a lot of crazies out there and if you are REALLY being followed by a suspicious car or person, call the cops. If you're in your car, drive to the police station or a very public area where you can reach out to someone for help.
Be smart and be aware and don't be afraid to call the police and ask for help. That's what they are there for.
