I don't know how much WVIT is paying Reporter Tara Joyce, but it's not enough. 

Yesterday, Joyce did a story about a West Hartford family’s home that was damaged by freezing water pipes.

The family had placed their damaged toilet outside on the porch and during her live shot, Joyce stuck her hand in the toilet water to show viewers that it was partially frozen.  

I know that the TV consultants are all about "active stand ups", but I draw the line when it comes to putting my hand in some stranger's toilet.

I certainly smell something and it;'s not an Emmy.
