This is Not the Time to Be Lazy
As Hurricane Irma spins in the Atlantic with her eyes on Florida, it is time for local stations in the Sunshine state to step up.
At almost 10PM last night, Ft. Myer's Fox affiliate 11AM advisory for Irma on the home page of their website.
When viewers are looking for critical information, having an almost 12 hours old advisory on site, in South Florida mind you, is totally unacceptable.
Here's hoping that this Scripps station ups their game a bit more as Irma comes closer to Florida.
Update: At 5AM this morning, the station still had the 11AM update from yesterday as their lead story on their site.
Scripps claims to be focused on digital, but they are dropping the ball in Ft. Myers for sure.
