As stations gear up for the Fall book, WSVN in Miami has taken the wraps off the "Plex Deck."

WSVN has been promoting its “Plex Deck.” But what exactly is it?

The station is known for its “newsplex” which has been ripped off by stations across the country, has made use of a second-level railing area where reporters can stand to deliver newscasts.

Station officials are calling that area the “Plex Deck,” and it debuted earlier this month.

"We continue to evolve our newsroom with fresh, eye-catching designs,'' WSVN News Director Alice Jacobs said. "It’s just one more way to keep our newscasts contemporary."

I worked at WSVN back in the 90's and we did live hits from upstairs back then, we just never thought of calling it the "Plex Deck."
