Throwing Shade...

How many times will a newscaster tell people not to look directly at the eclipse today?

The over/under is 9 million.

Despite that warning, people, including me, will gaze up as the moon passes in front of the sun, watch for a few seconds and then get back on with my life.

Unfortunately, TV news is going to over cover the hell out of the story.

"But Scott, this is something that happens just a few times in a century!"

Yeah, my buddy C.W. passing by the dessert buffet at Golden Corral without taking something is an extremely rare event as well, but you don't cover that.

Let's get on with your news about TV news, which, unlike the eclipse you can look straight at without eye protection.
