Katie Couric Leaves Yahoo
It quite possibly was the easiest job in America. Get paid millions of dollars, interview a person from time to time and cash a big fat paycheck.
That was the job that Katie Couric had a Yahoo. The company paid (some say wasted) the former NBC and CBS Anchors millions of dollars to be a Global Anchor. It was a job that no one really knew what she did.
But, she basically dealt with no deadlines, no pressure and just interviewed some people that she wanted to talk to. Couric was supposed to bring a huge buzz to Yahoo, but it never happened.
Now she's leaving the job.
Yahoo is now called Oath and the company and Couric are parting ways. Couric said Friday she turned down an opportunity for a short-term contract extension at Oath. She had been with Yahoo since 2014.
The perky one is now working on a documentary with National Geographic. She's also producing a scripted series for Netflix and she does an online cooking series with her husband John Molner.
