Nexstar Station Hires Husband and Wife Anchor Team

The couple that news together, stay together.

At least that's what Nexstar owned KARK is hoping.

The station has hired Tyler Thomason and Rebecca Jeffrey from KMID-TV and KPEJ-TV in Midland, Texas.

Thomason and Jeffrey, who are married, met and worked together at KNWA-TV in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

KARK News Director Austin Kellerman described Thomason and Jeffrey as "dynamic journalists" who have been with Nexstar for the past five years. "I'm confident they'll thrive in our newsroom and immediately make an impact working for viewers in Central Arkansas.  They know Arkansas and know how to serve its people."

"Rebecca and I are ecstatic about this opportunity and cannot wait to get started," Thomason said. "She may be a Texas girl, but she already knows how to call the Hogs! I'm thrilled that we will be able to work together with so many friends and family members nearby."

It is here that I could make some snarky comment and you would giggle and the Nexstar suits would be mad.

But, let's be honest.....it's Amazon Prime Day and I have much more important things to do.
