Well this should tell you everything you need to know about Sinclair and their thoughts about Journalists. 

According to a report on Politico, then Congressional candidate Greg Gianforte body slammed a reporter on May 24th. 

One day later, after he body slammed the Reporter, Frederick G. Smith, the vice president and director of Sinclair Broadcasting Group, donated $1000 to Gianforte's campaign. 

Smith also gave $1,000 to Gianforte's campaign in March.

Smith was not available for comment, but a Sinclair spokesperson said, “Campaign contributions made by our board members are personal to them and do not reflect company policy or support.”

And of course, sometimes their campaign contributions DO reflect company policy, the spokesperson should have added.
