We Fired Their Ass...
Time Magazine is getting rid of almost 300 positions, but instead of just coming out and saying that they laid off over 300 people, Time's CEO Rich Battista said this, " "We are taking a holistic approach to cost-structure reengineering for the whole company. In commencing that work, we are looking for ways to be more efficient as a company and ways to find more cost savings."
What a bunch of crap.
His memo to the staff wasn't much better in which he told them, the cuts were necessary to make the company "more efficient and to reinvest resources in our growth areas as we position the company for long-term success."
Why can't anyone just be straightforward and honest anymore in the media industry.
No wonder why less and less people are trusting the media.
