Win an Emmy, Lose your Job
Let's be honest winning an Emmy is about as hard has getting approved for a Members Only jacket.
But, people in TV still think that winning an Emmy is a big deal.
So, let's point out the fact that Fox Sports Detroit Reporter Justin White won an Emmy for a story he did on a a high-school athlete from Lawton, Mich., who had a brain tumor and was told he’d never play football again — but he beat the odds.
Along with his Emmy, White also lost his job.
White announced that he was leaving FSD after nearly 10 years on the job.
Reached for comment by The Detroit News, White said it was his decision to leave, “but I wasn’t left with much of a choice.”
White wrote on Twitter: “I feel so fortunate to have played a small part in bringing you the teams you love over the last 8 and a half years. I hope it was half as much fun for you as it was for me.”
So now this Emmy award winning Reporter is out of a job.
But, at least he has something to add to the old resume.
