This is where it gets awkward real quick.....

For the past year, KLAS (Las Vegas) had run a Wednesday morning news segment called, "Morning Cup of Joe" with Vegas's Metro PD Sheriff Joe Lombardo. 

The problem is, this past weekend the Vegas PD arrested KLAS Photographer Neb Solomon, who was covering a Trump protest. FIRST reported by FTVLive. 

So what happened on yesterday's Morning Cup of Joe with the Police Chief? 

Nothing, the station ran a repeat segment with the Chief. A repeat in a newscast? ...welcome to Nexstar. 

Now, what happens with future segments of Morning Cup of Joe while Solomon's case winds its way through the legal system? 

This is a prime example why TV stations should not have cozy segments with a  local law-enforcement agency.

Because now...it's all kinds of awkward.
