Nexstar Names DC Bureau Chief
When Nexstar took over the Media General stations, one of their pitches to the FCC was that Media General had a Washington bureau.
Nexstar said that it would help serve the viewers having a presence in DC.
Well today, Nexstar named a new bureau chief for their DC operation.
Bill Mondora takes over as Washington, DC Bureau Chief for the Nexstar stations. Mondora assumes his new role immediately and reports to Jerry Walsh, Director of Local Content Development for Nexstar.
Mondora most recently served was News Director at KTTV in Los Angeles.
“Bill brings to his new position a deep understanding of local news programming and production, digital and social media integration, content monetization, strategic planning and brand positioning across multiple media platforms. Throughout his impressive career at CBS, Bill consistently provided exceptional programming and services to the local affiliates by leading the strategic planning of major event coverage, working with news producers to facilitate relevant local reporting and successfully building relationships with key contributors and public figures. We are confident in his ability to successfully lead our Washington, DC, news bureau and look forward to his contributions as we continue to advance the programming, products and services we provide to local communities and advertisers,” said Nexstar suit Jerry Walsh.
And let's be honest, the part about "advertisers" is the only thing that Nexstar cares about.
