WTNH Reporter Jacquie Slater says she is signing off from the Nexstar station and she is not saying yet where she is headed.

Slater, a Connecticut native said in a Facebook post that she's leaving the station next week.

She wrote:

"So this is a tough one to write but with just a few weeks left in 2017 the time has come. After much consideration I have decided to leave News 8 at the end of the year. It has been wonderful in many ways to work here in my home state and with so many people I consider friends and family but new adventures are calling and my little people and I are looking forward to the next chapter. Stay tuned and thank you to everyone who has followed along in this crazy journey of mine."

She hasn't yet announced where she's headed next, but Slater has been with the station full-time since 2015 and worked at WTNH as freelancer from 2012 to 2013. She has also served as a reporter in Anchorage, Alaska, Providence, RI and Tallahassee, FL.
