WWLP (Springfield, Mass) Anchor Kait Walsh is leaving the NBC affiliate, driving across the state and landing in Providence, Rhode Island.

Beginning Dec. 18, Walsh will be the weekend evening anchor and a weekday reporter at WPRI.

"I'll miss the people and some of the stories I have covered, like the Holyoke schools, the casino and Union Station," said Walsh, adding she was excited to be returning the region where she was raised.

Prior coming to WWLP, worked at WCSH in Portland, Maine, and New England Cable News.
