The Invisible GM

Gregg Kelley is the GM at Fox O&O KUTV in the San Francisco market.

We know that because he is the only employee at the station that has his name on a parking spot.

As for seeing Kelly inside the station? Well, insiders tell FTVLive that is not an easy task.

One source tells FTVLive, "Many KTVU employees have never met or seen the GM since he took over the station. He has never held a station meeting and I don't recall him ever even sending a stationwide e-mail in regards to anything.. from thanking employees for a job well done or announcing a new hire. He disappears for days or weeks at a time without explanation."

Sources say that Kelley tries to rule by intimidation and the station has set up dozens and dozens of security cameras to watch their employees every move.

"I hate it here, you feel like you're in a prison," said one KTVU staffer that says they plan on leaving the station soon.

The Fox O&O's are all suspect in the way they treat their employees and are run by intimidation.

It appears that in New York, the station gained access to Reporter Lidia Curanaj's personal (not station) email account and questioned her about personal emails.

They ended up firing Curana, who has a pending lawsuit against the station. It appears to be nothing more than straight up retaliation for the lawsuit.

You would think that with all the problems that have happened at Fox News and trickling down to the O&O's, parent company 21st Century Fox would want their stations to start treating employees with more respect.

Instead, it is all run by intimidation from NY to San Francisco and for some reason, 21st Century Fox is fine with that.

And yet some wonder why FTVLive still calls them The Firm?
