11 days ago, FTVLive FIRST told you that KBTX (Bryan, Texas) Anchor Kathleen Witte was seriously burned when she tried to put out a candle wax fire at her house using water. 

Burning candle wax is akin to a grease fire and the flames need to be smothered and not doused with water. 

Witte learned that lesson the hard way and suffered 2nd and 3rd-degree burns because of her actions. 

Well, since this is ratings, KBTX could not wait to get Witte on the air to tell her story and also turn it into some fire safety tips.
