FTVLive spent part of Saturday at the Jacksonville Home Show which was lame as hell. 

Well, it wasn't lame if you were looking to buy gutters for your house. It seemed like every other booth was for gutters. 

Also at the home show was a booth for Tegna's WTLV First Coast News. And if you thought Tegna is cheap think again. They had plastic pens for the home show attendees to take. 

So There!

FTVLive asked if we could take a picture of a pen and we did. They told us we could take the pen, but we knew that would be payolla, so after we snapped the photo we put it back. 

We spent about 45 minutes talking to Weekend Anchor Jeff Valin.

FTVLive cut the cord 3 years ago, we had no clue who he was, but we had an enjoyable conversation about the business and he was a good guy. 

He had no clue he was talking to the "FTVLive guy" as we spoke. If Tegna people did know, I'm sure I would have been taken out.

That's why even going to the home show, I wear my kevlar vest. 

Can't be too careful.
