An Anchor at Tribune owned WHNT in Huntsville has decided to get out of the business before Sinclair takes over the station. 

Michelle Stark is leaving the station after 7 years and TV news altogether. 

"This was a hard choice," Stark explained, while announcing the change on WHNT News 19 This Morning, "But these hours just aren't compatible with my family life anymore. My two girls are growing up so fast, and I want to be there for them. They only have one mom. At the same time, I know I have a lot to offer professionally. So, when the opportunity arose for me to join an innovative company and live a more normal life, I couldn't pass it up."

Stark will be the new Marketing Director for Red Sage Communications, a marketing agency specializing in web development and online visibility.

"It's sad to think about about signing-off for good. I'll never forget the people who sent well-wishes when both of my daughters were born; some even made beautiful blankets and keepsakes for us. I'll cherish those memories."

The station is not waiting to fill Stark's spot on the Anchor desk. Once she leaves, evening Anchor  Melissa Riopka is headed back to the morning shift, where she had worked  previously. a

"Mornings can be so hectic (I know they are at our house) but it's also my favorite part of the day. At least, once I'm done hitting snooze!" Riopka said about the d̶e̶m̶o̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ move back to mornings.
