Scripps sent out a press release saying that they have hired Jared Cotter for the Scripps produced news magazine "The List."

The release starts out, Jared Cotter a multitalented singer, songwriter, model and television host, has joined “The List” as co-host of the news magazine program created and produced by The E.W. Scripps Company.

Ummmm...singer, model but nothing about his experience working in TV news. 

OH! That's right....he doesn't have any. 

Well, he did get to the semi finals on “American Idol” so that counts.

Right? 

Oh...and BTW, you should look half as cool in your headshot.
