ABC Is Doing A Lot Of Apologizing

ABC scored the first 'sit down' with President Trump, but since then, they've been doing a lot of apologizing.

The first, "we're sorry," came after the network portrayed former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer as being critical of his colleague, Sean Spicer. As part of a story for Nightline, Fleischer said he made the comment, "It looks to me if the ball was dropped on Saturday, Sean recovered it and ran for a 1st down on Monday". In editing, Nightline made it, "It looks to me if the ball was dropped on Saturday." Big difference. ABC had to apologize.

ABC then had to apologize for using a fake image of Trump standing in the Oval Office in a promo that aired during "ABC World News Tonight". The image showed the president looking out the window with snow on the ground. The only problem is, DC hasn't had any snow since Trump took office. The Daily News reports the image was actually a photo illustration created for The New Yorker for an article in September on what the Trump presidency would be like.

These types of things only keep the Trump White House fueled in its fights with mainstream media. Let's do better.
