Everyone knows sports can wreak havoc on weekend newscasts. Apparently at Scripps' WEWS-TV, they could care less.

On a weekend where there were protests and demonstrations at the airport, to say the least, WEWS cancelled the news after the Cavaliers game. Instead, they threw together a sports show and just let the network handle early news.

According to their Twitter, "News 5, On Your Side, Champions The People Of Cleveland (unless there's sports and we don't feel like it)".
