FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that Tribune was offering some longtime staffers buyouts. 

The company is hoping that enough people will take the buyouts, that the company won't have to go to the next level, which is layoffs. 

One source tells FTVLive what Tribune is offering and we have to say it is a nice offer. One person was offered a year of salary, plus two years of healthcare. 

There is no doubt that the buyout offers are generous and everyone hopes that enough people sign on, so they won't have to go to the next level.
