One broadcast group is making the Holiday a little merrier for a few folks, at least in title.

Sinclair announced some promotions in their corporate ranks today. In a story FTVLive first reported a few weeks ago, Jeff Parsons is promoted to the regional ND position covering the West coast. The job was previously held by Jen Dahl, who was fired as a sacrifice.

Blaise Labbe, the ND of SBG's WOAI in San Antonio, will take over Parson's old job overseeing the Texas stations. He'll remain ND in San Antonio.

In a somewhat surprising announcement, Mark Neerman, ND of KSNV in Las Vegas, will continue leading that newsroom but also overseeing SBG's Reno and Fresno stations.

It's always interesting when groups decide to add corporate duties to NDs while they're still responsible for their own newsrooms. Unless, of course, they're already a dominant #1.
