Former NBC correspondent and PBS Host, Gwen Ifill has died.  She died under hospice care after a battle with cancer. She was 61.

Ifill most recently was co-host of the PBS NewsHour.  She also moderated a presidential primary debate between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.

Ifill worked at the Baltimore Evening Sun, The Washington Post, The New York Times and NBC before moving to PBS in 1999.
