We have heard of padding your resume, but this might be a bit excessive. 

Johnny Mullins wanted to be a TV Weatherman, but he found it hard to get anyone to notice him. So, he came up with a plan. 

Mullins decided he would set a wildfire, shoot some video of it and take a few selfies. That he thought would get him seen on social media and it wouldn't be long before a TV station would hire him to do weather. 

Mullins posted selfie videos on Facebook that were recorded in front of various fires, Stephens said. He called them "Weather Outlook" segments and got 2,900 views on his final video, posted on Nov. 6, in which he warned eastern Kentucky residents, "Be extremely careful if you're out there." 

Mullins was charged earlier this week after he told police he started the fire "because he enjoyed the attention he got from the Facebook stuff," according to Jenkins Police Chief James Stephens.

"It's really too bad because he's not a bad kid — he's just misguided," Stephens said. "He didn't realize how much danger he was putting other people in."

Looks like Mullins will now be giving his forecast to cellblock D and not on TV.
