Suspect Charged with Shooting at Roanoke Station's News Car
It brought back some bad memories for the staff at WDBJ in Roanoke.
Police arrested a man that they say fired shots at a WDBJ news vehicle, along with other cars.
The 18-year-old suspect who cops say fired at a WDBJ Reporter's car and other vehicles yesterday afternoon has been identified as Daniel Flint.
Flint shot at a news vehicle being driven by WDBJ7 reporter Tim Saunders.
Saunders was not hurt in the incident.
The incident began at 12:30 p.m. Thursday after a neighbor heard gunshots on Wheatland Road.
When deputies responded to the suspect's home, they found a fire burning behind the house next to a large propane tank. They also found damage inside the home, including bullet holes and broken doors.
Just over a year ago, a news crew from WDBJ was gunned down by a former co-worker.
