On February 4th, FTVLive packed as much explosives as we could and hit the switch.  We blew up the paywall that was surrounding this website, making it free to everyone.

6 weeks later, it looks like we made the right decision in going free.​

Some interesting ​stats in the first 6 weeks. Below is a screen shot from Thursday of last week. The chart shows how long visitors are staying on FTVLive. The less than 5 second people are folks that are loading the page to see if anything has changed since the last time they visited. The part we found interesting is that over 20% of the visitors on that day stayed on FTVLive for more than 20 minutes in a single visit. Over 15% were on the site for over an hour! The chart below:

The next interesting thing we found was ​random screen shot taken at 10AM yesterday. It lists where the visitors are coming from. I cut off the full IP address so the bosses at these companies could not find which computers made the visits. But just at that moment (10AM yesterday) there was 450 people visiting FTVLive. Including someone from CBS, NBC, Fox, Univision and Tribune:  

And to show that new people are finding FTVLive.com, check out this chart. It was taken last Friday. Over 60% of the visits were coming to FTVLive.com for the first time. ​

Every week, FTVLive gets more visits then we did the week before. It's because people like you are using social media or god for bid even talking to your friends and telling them about this site.​

You are the people that I love and if you were here right now, I would give you each a really big hug. So, I'm guessing you're really glad you're not here right now. ​
