The Re-Opening of Florida That Didn't Happen

While it sure seems like it is a bit early, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis wanted to keep his overlord Donald Trump happy and decided to open the Sunshine State back up for business.

One of those places that were supposed to open up was the St. Augustine Outlet Mall. The mall is located just off I-95 in St. Augustine and they proudly claimed that they were now open for business on Monday.

I took a drive over to see what it was like?

There were cars lined up as the parking lot was set to open at 11 AM and then the barricades came down and the outlet mall was back in business.

But, a funny thing happened.

Just because the Florida Governor said the state was back open, many businesses are not. In fact in the giant St. Augustine Outlet Mall complex, I only saw one store that was open.

Stores like Nike, Adidas, Ralph Lauren, and others kept their doors lock and their employees home.

Yep, it seems that many stories also think it is too soon to open their doors, despite what Trump and DeSantis decide.

I for one was happy to see that most of those businesses are a be smarter than our politicians. I long for the day when stories and businesses can open back up, but, I don’t think we are there yet.

And it seems that many businesses agree.

Let’s do some news….
